Thinking Huts started after consideration about root causes for worldly troubles. Every analysis of human-produced maladies led back to a varying set of causes. However, one cause was at the root and consistent in every analysis. Namely, lack of access to education.
'Education' can mean different things to different people. When education is undertaken in an open and non-coercive manner, it holds the key to the progress the human race has made and will continue to make. Without proper education we would not have the numerous benefits we have today in technology, medicine, standard of living and healthcare. Of course, education can bring about its seedy side as people use advancements for less stellar goals. But even these less stellar uses can be addressed by educating consumers on how to think and conscientiously use their voice to effect change.
The spread of diseases such as AIDS and Ebola, starvation, land/environment crises, tyranny, child abuse, gender inequality, sex trafficking, rioting all have a similar need for education to help people understand, notice, discuss intelligently, and most importantly devise tangible solutions to address these issues.
While Thinking Huts is not promising to be an end to all that ails humanity, we are promising a start. By supporting education we hope to benefit everyone and engage locally to think of solutions to issues and move forward with positive steps.
Follow the "Steps" below to see our step-by-step plan to build a stronger, healthier, sustainable world:
There will be opposition to education, but that opposition comes from a place of insecurity, where education is viewed as a threat to an existing power-base. We feel that any system, power, group or other that feels threatened by the people within is misguided and a disservice to humanity. Proper education makes life better for everyone. No human should feel threatened by knowledge and no human should use knowledge to disadvantage others.
By making education more accessible, Thinking Huts will achieve its goal of making the world a stronger, healthier place by promoting peace and prosperity.
